Shrewd operator.
That is the profound superlative for new Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins this spring. Cousins maneuvered his way toward another lucrative contract in free agency this offseason with the Raiders that now has him shoulder-to-shoulder with former New England Patriots quarterback and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady in the all-time earnings department.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Cousins’ $20 million fully-guaranteed deal in 2026 with Las Vegas puts him at the doorstep of unseating Brady as having the second-most career earnings in NFL history.
Cousins doesn't have a care in the world financially after joining a Raiders team that is believed to be eyeing Indiana's Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft.
The money he is set to make in 2026 compounds with the historic earnings he already had prior to the deal, placing him third all-time in career earnings with $321,692,254. Brady sits at No. 2 all-time with $332,962,392.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is the highest earner in league history at $408,315,802.
