Withdrawals
Cheick Kongo, by a back injury. He was scheduled to face Roy Nelson. Nelson is expected to face Junior dos Santos at UFC 117.

Alessio Sakara, after the death of his father. He was set to fight Nate Marquardt.

Paul Kelly, reportedly due to visa issues. Kelly was scheduled to fight Jacob Volkmann on July 3 in one of the preliminary fights. The bout will possibly be rescheduled for a later date.

Julio Paulino withdrew from his fight against Daniel Roberts on June 17, 2010. Forrest Petz returned to the UFC and replaced Paulino.

Wanderlei Silva, due to three broken ribs and an injured right knee. He withdrew on June 22, 2010 from his co-main event fight against Yoshihiro Akiyama. Akiyama was then matched against Chris Leben.

Cancellations
UFC newcomer Ricardo Romero was scheduled to fight Steve Cantwell after Cantwell's recent medical ban ended. However, the fight was cancelled for unknown reasons and Cantwell was replaced by UFC returnee Seth Petruzelli.

Really? I agree that it's a great fight, but I think that's a little overboard.

Yeah. It was arguably not even the best fight of the night. One of the best heavy weight fights I've seen, but that has a lot to do with how weak the division has been for so long. The next match with Cain Velasquez should be good too.
