Tyrese Maxey, Philly athletes react to Jaylen Brown to Sixers trade

The Philadelphia 76ers pulled off the biggest blockbuster of what has been an eventful NBA offseason thus far. They have agreed to send Paul George, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks to the Boston Celtics in exchange for 2024 finals MVP Jaylen Brown as they retool the roster to take down the New York Knicks in the East.

Brown is coming off a season in which he averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists as he kept the Celtics afloat without Jayson Tatum for a majority of the season. He will now join Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, and Joel Embiid in order to chase down the Knicks and win their first title since 1983.

After the Brown trade, which shocked just about everybody in the sports world, Maxey and a slew of other athletes and Philadelphia sports figures, as well as a member of the New York Knicks, reacted to the Brown trade:
