The Dallas Stars have not had much to be excited about in the past two weeks, as they are in the midst of a six-game losing streak. Dallas fans and players were given a huge reason to smile earlier today as it was announced that Tyler Seguin would be activated off the long-term injured reserve list, and would be playing in tonight's season finale against the Nashville Predators.
Tyler Seguin was off to an ideal start in the young 2024-25 season, as he put up 20 points in his first 19 games, with nine coming via a goal. That all ended when the veteran forward underwent hip surgery on Dec. 5th after not having played since Dec. 1st. Seguin will add a much-needed boost to the lineup as the Stars aim to come away from Game 82 with a win, carrying that momentum into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Stars are currently waiting on the status of defensemen Miro Heiskanen, as the veteran has yet to play since being helped off the ice on Jan. 28th. Since then, his recovery from the knee injury has been positive, and has suggested the defenseman will join the team for the upcoming playoff run.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m. CDT and can be seen locally on Victory+ and out-of-market on ESPN+.
