Troy and Ole Miss will face off in an elimination game. Both teams lost their first game in Omaha. The teams face the same fate but come with very different World Series history. Ole Miss won a National Championship in 2022. While Troy is in their first ever College Baseball World Series.
The Troy Trojans rode a 6-game winning streak through the Super Regionals with better than expected hitting. Troy has averaged almost 10 runs over eight tournament games. They also only used two pitches in the first Series loss providing them with an opportunity to utilize fresh arms today if they need to.
Ole Miss with start Hunter Elliott in today's elimination game. Elliott only gave up two runs in his last start vs Auburn. Elliott is also familiar with Omaha as he was on the 2022 National Title team as a freshman with a wealth of post season experience.
