Troy Spiker is the new athletic director for Stow-Munroe Falls schools

The Stow-Munroe Falls City School District recently announced that Troy Spiker will be the district's next athletic director.

Spiker will take over from longtime athletic director Cyle Feldman who, after more than 20 years, announced this past spring he would step down to run for Stow mayor in November 2027. Feldman is also a Stow city councilman at-large.

According to Stow-Munroe Falls school officials, Spiker "brings extensive experience in educational leadership and athletic administration." Spiker previously served as athletic director for both Orrville City Schools and Crestwood Local Schools.

"Our athletic programs play an important role in the student experience, and Troy is well prepared to lead them into the future," Superintendent Felisha Gould said in a media release. "His focus on character, teamwork, and achievement aligns with the values of our district, and we are happy to welcome him to our team."


A graduate of Rootstown High School, Spiker continued his academic and athletic career at Capital University, where he competed in football and track and field. He later earned a Master of Education in Athletic Administration from William Woods University.

"I am honored to join the Stow-Munroe Falls community and look forward to working alongside our student-athletes, coaches, staff, families and community members to build upon the proud tradition of Bulldog athletics," Spiker said in a media release. "Together, we will continue creating opportunities that help every student-athlete grow as competitors, leaders, and individuals."

As athletic director, Spiker will oversee the district's athletic programs while working collaboratively with coaches, administrators, families, and the community.
