Trade w/the Giants? NOOOOOO!!!

I just realized something and it's NOT GOOD!! I read that the Rams want to move-up and are trying to move Orlando Pace-T (tired of trying to re-sign him so they keep "tagging" him) We KNOW the Giants want Gallery. IF we trade w/the Giants to pick up "extra" picks--What if the Rams work out a deal to send Pace to the Giants?? That gives the Giants the All-Pro lineman they want. ...And the Rams w/the 3rd choice then TAKE Gallery!!! I DO NOT want to face that guy for (10) years in our division?? Am I whacked, or is this a terrifying possibility?? GO CARDS!!

We won't trade until that day and certainly there will be enough info on the wire about NYG trying to get Pace to allow us to decide.

The Rams could still trade with NYG at #4 and get Gallery if the chips fall right. We may still face him for 10 years.

As someone already mentioned, we already face Pace twice a year.

I like Gallery, but I doubt he will be as good as Pace is.

We should trade for Pace.Move Shelton to RT and we have an OL of Pace,Big,Kendall,anybody,and Shelton.That's an expensive OL but i bet you it's the best OL.Maybe we can pick up Reuben Brown to play RG .

It is Impossible to be Screwed (Unless We Do it to Ourselves)

If all we do is stand pat at #3, we are guaranteed our choice of all but 2 of the following picks -

Fitzgerald, Mike Williams, Manning, Taylor, Roethlisberger, Roy Williams, Gallery.

We hold the high ground. If we stand pat (and not do something really dumb) we cannot lose.

This doesn't mean we shouldn't explore trading down (a little) so long as we (a) do it smart, (b) get a lot for the pick and (c) wind up with at least one playmaker or dominator.

My point is that the #3 pick this year is like gold, and we should treat it as such. Unless we get "the deal we want", we should make the best decision (which oft times is "no decision.")
