The San Francisco Giants have not had the season they envisioned.

Their 29-43 record is the second-worst in the National League, and they are nine games back of a Wild Card spot.

With the trade deadline looming in less than two months, the Giants have emerged as obvious sellers. Unless something changes dramatically, of course.

In all likelihood, the Giants won't trade third baseman Matt Chapman or All-Star starting pitcher Logan Webb, writes Bleacher Report's Tim Kelly.

"But the Giants aren't going to trade Logan Webb, and the contracts of Rafael Devers, Willy Adames and Matt Chapman probably aren't movable," Kelly wrote.

Instead, San Francisco should turn its focus to a right-handed hitter in the outfield.

"Contending teams are going to have to get creative to try to find right-handed hitting," Kelly added. "Heliot Ramos of the Giants is another name worth pondering."

Ramos earned an All-Star selection in 2024 and hits left-handed pitching particularly well. His defense is not strong, with minus-2 outs above average thus far in 2026.

But Ramos won't reach free agency until after the 2029 season, making him an interesting trade target for clubs in need of an outfielder.

He also provides good power from the right side, hitting 22 home runs in 2024 and 21 long balls a season ago. The Giants should at least entertain the idea of making this move.
