Obviously like Shogun I have a major chub for Fitz. I think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread and I don't want to trade him.

However there are two stories in Cardinal land that worry the hell out of me and are not getting much recognition. One is Leinart's knee "soreness" (I don't even want to talk about this) and the other is the hypothetical - what if we can't restructure Fitz?

SO with the below news coming out:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3228585

would anyone consider this trade?

Arizona gets:

Chad Johnson
3rd round pick

Cinn gets:

Larry Fitzgerald

Ocho Cinco brings the speed we need and also is more emotionally connected to then team then Fitz maybe. They both may want to win - but you can literally see the tears in Chad's eyes about it. I think him and Boldin are cut from the same cloth - I just think chad's cloth is a little more colorful.....

I was totally not expecting to read that and therefore could not continue reading the rest of the post due to fear of what I might read next..

;)

Careful.....you might be missing something important.

Were you aware the Gettysburg Address started much the same way?:)

:lmao: To think , that only two years ago they we're primed and ready to take it to the show. And if that injury doesn't happen against Pitt in the playoffs?!

I don't know what Chad Johnson's deal is, but he's obviously just angling for a trade. No way he gives up millions of dollars.

The Arizona Chub is a native species of endangered fish. It's bigger than a minnow but not by much.

Admitting to having a "major" Arizona chub tells me you should seek help. From Dr. Ruth.

NO!

It is not even close. Fitz is better than Chad Johnson, and is WAY younger.

I need to see a lineman and some 1st round draft picks. A Herschel Walker like trade for all the draft picks, and Johnson or something.

Fitz is way too dominant.

And then proceed to put a cockamammy proposal like that. You just negated all that you said previously with your reasoning about why you proposed the trade.

Keep Fitz. Hopefully he stays with the team for the long run.

There are no more "Walker" type trades because of the Walker trade.

The Manning/Rivers is the closest to it in recent history and the way the Chargers parlayed it into some very good picks it'll be a while before it happens again. The potential to get burned is just way too high.

Get a stronger on the O line and a home run threat at RB and the it just gets better and better for us fans. WR isn't even a blip right now.

In my estimation, Fitz is better on the field, a GREAT character guy and never a distraction. Why would a team want to trade that away when what they would get in return would cost about the same amount of money? Especially when the Cardinals always seem to have plenty of money under the cap?

Second that. Everytime that guy opens his mouth I'm embarrassed for him and glad he's not a Cardinal. I'll continued to be embarrassed for the poor man but I don't want to lose the gratitued I have for the second part.
