The Cardinals take a big swing and add some high-octane flash to their roster at third overall. Running back Jeremiyah Love, the Notre Dame standout, becomes the first member of the Cardinals’ 2026 rookie class. Love rushed for 1,372 yards and an unbelievable 18 touchdowns in the 2025 college season, averaging 6.9 yards per carry without a lost fumble. He’s scored 35 times in his past two seasons, with nearly 2,500 yards on the ground in the process.
A Cardinals running back room already packed with talent in the form of James Conner, Tyler Allgeier, Trey Benson and Bam Knight will add a fourth member — a high-energy, exciting pick that is sure to grab some national attention. For better or worse, Love will bring some eyes to the Cardinals this season in Mike LaFleur’s offense.
