Every phase of this team contributed to this loss with a couple of exceptions.
As much as we beat up Kyler, we can’t hang this one on him. He was eractic at first but got on track. However his disastrous 3rd down gaff gave them great field position that believed lead to a touchdown.
The defense. When you hold a team to 16 points in their house, that should be good enough to win. But they failed on that last drive. I put that more on Rallis. He should have kept the heat coming for that entire last drive. But like last week he didn’t. It didn’t cost us last week. It cost us this game.
Dropped passes cost us this game. I was praying with 2:00 we woildnt play it safe. We didnt. If Jones comes down with that catch, it’s game over. If Demercado OR MHJ catches the ball you could add 4 pts to our score.
Ryland misses the fg. Can’t be to agree with him . He’s been money and it was a 57 yard attempt. Gillikins last punt going into the end zone hurt a little
Coaching, big time. JG, mister “ I’ve got to coach them better” is dropping the ball with his conservative play. He always talks about chunk plays, but you can’t have chunk plays without trying them. He needs to sit down with Petzing and start dialing it up a bit. When we did, it worked. It would also help open our running game.
It’s a game we should have won. With Connor gone maybe it will force this whole offensive philosophy to change.
