In her first full college season, Tori Edwards has been a revelation.
Few, if any players, have shined brighter for LSU softball during a 2025 season in which it has racked up a 41-14 record and earned a No. 10 national seed to the NCAA tournament.
As just a redshirt freshman, the 5-foot-11 Edwards has been the Tigers’ most accomplished player offensively, leading the team in batting average, home runs, RBI, runs, doubles, total bases, slugging percentage and OPS.

LSU’s quest for a spot in the Women’s College World Series and, from there, a potential national championship will begin Friday with a game against Southeastern Louisiana at Tiger Park in the Baton Rouge Regional. Wherever the Tigers go from here will rely at least in some part on Edwards and whether her bat can continue to produce the same way it has for much of the past three months.
