The Bayside South regular season for sports like baseball, softball and lacrosse has reached its final week, as the postseason looms to start off April. And as per usual, some of the biggest games of the regular season are set to take place in the final week, as teams jockey for spots in Conference Championship games and positioning in the regional playoff standings.

For some sports, teams that have been at the front of the standings throughout the year will look to put a bow on the stellar seasons before the playoffs begin, while for others, games this week are set to decide whether or not they will compete for the Bayside Conference Championship. It will certainly be a thrilling finish to an exciting Bayside South regular season for each sport.

Here are the top games to watch in the Bayside South's final week of regular season baseball, softball and lacrosse:

Starting things off Monday is a game that was set to take place earlier this season, but was postponed due to weather. Now, the girls lacrosse teams for Stephen Decatur and James M. Bennett will face-off in the final week of games with a lot to play for.

These two teams have been the top squads in Bayside South lacrosse this season, as they've each gone unbeaten against Bayside South opponents. Decatur is looking for its fourth straight Bayside South title, while Bennett looks to grab the crown for themselves. Bennett, coming off a big win over rivals Parkside last week, will hope that momentum continues their way when they take the field at home on Monday, while Decatur will look to continue their reign as the Bayside South's best girls lacrosse squad. With the winner likely going on to compete for the Bayside title next week, not only is there a lot to play for in terms of stakes, it is also a great measuring stick game for both teams ahead of the postseason.

The Stephen Decatur Seahawks have been not just the most impressive team in the Bayside throughout this regular season, but one of the top baseball squads in the state of Maryland. Fresh off of back-to-back state semifinal appearances, the Seahawks have not slowed down their success this season, dominating the Bayside while also picking up wins over top non-Bayside opponents like Sherwood when they faced off just a few weeks ago.

As they look to close out another stellar Bayside campaign and secure top seeding ahead of the Class 3A playoffs, there are just a few more tests left for the Seahawks. After surviving a late comeback attempt against Parkside last week, they'll host another rival on Monday, the James M. Bennett Clippers, and will also host a solid Mardela team as well later in the week. For the Bennett game, it could potentially be a preview of a future 3A playoff battle between the two top Bayside South teams, as they both reside in the same MPSSAA region. The game could also decide the winner of this year's Bayside South, as Decatur looks to go back-to-back, and Bennett tries to knock them off.

With Bennett having a very successful season in their own right, for local high school baseball fans, it will be one last great battle in the regular season between two of the Bayside's best. Decatur won this game when they played earlier this season in Salisbury. It will be interesting to see if Bennett can flip the script this time around.

Mardela and Stephen Decatur are set to close out their respective softball regular seasons with another battle for the Bayside South. And it comes as no surprise that once again these two teams have run the show in the Bayside Conference for yet another year.

Mardela will be hosting this game, as they look to continue their bid for a third straight Bayside Conference Championship game appearance, while Decatur will try again to knock them off. Both teams have rarely lost this year, and the games they have lost have come against non-Bayside opponents, meaning they each come into this game undefeated in Bayside competition. The Bayside's best will truly be on display in Mardela Springs later this week, and softball fans couldn't ask for much more when it comes to a game with high stakes being played between two dominant teams.

Stephen Decatur is on a quest for a fourth straight Bayside South title, and a first Bayside Championship after striking out in their previous three attempts. The Seahawks, have once again been better than most of the competition this year, with a rare but very close loss to Kent Island standing out as the only blemish on their resume.

But before they can try again for a Bayside Championship, they'll have to go on the road to face a Parkside team that has been equally as dominant as them this year. After defeating Bennett last week, Parkside has cleared the way to potentially grab the Bayside South crown from Decatur this year. It will be back-to-back tests for Parkside, as they also face one of the Bayside North's top teams in Queen Anne's earlier this week. With a Bayside South title on the line, the game between Parkside and Decatur in Salisbury should create an electric atmosphere for high school lacrosse.
