The Pittsburgh Steelers have legitimate concerns surrounding the future of their quarterback position, as Aaron Rodgers has yet to make a decision on his playing future.
Here is a look at three free agent quarterbacks that would be ideal replacements for Rodgers, from a former first-overall draft pick to a signal caller with ties to DK Metcalf.
A dual-threat quarterback with a cannon for an arm, Murray is the perfect example of a high-reward, low-risk option for Pittsburgh's free agency plans. At worst, he'd be a short-term, stop-gap as the Steelers continue to search for their future quarterback. At best, he'd rekindle some of the magic of his early career and emerge as Pittsburgh's long-term answer at signal caller.
Thanks to a few breakout performances with the Green Bay Packers, Willis is now one of the most sought-after quarterbacks in the upcoming free agency period. While the rumored $30 million per year asking price may keep the Steelers out of the race, he has tremendous upside given his limited starting experience.
Some Steelers fans would consider this a worst-case scenario, but Smith was largely a scapegoat for the Las Vegas Raiders' offensive struggles as a whole. He's likely the cheapest option on this list by far and could revitalize his career behind a much better offensive line than he had in Vegas, as well as reuniting with his former receiver Metcalf.
