I realize we have injuries to our LT and LG, and JJ Nelson isn't 100% and John Brown was out but the game came down to them being able to get consistent pressure on Palmer with only 3 rushers so they could cover us with 8.

We also couldn't run the ball despite the fact they had all those DB's on the field, again the RB's were getting hit in the backfield on virtually every carry. Arians eventually just said screw it and put Ellington in there most of the time figuring we can't run anyways so I'll have my receiver RB in, the only success we had running all night was runs in passing downs by ellington, and a couple of runs where Johnson evaded the first hit.

Just brutal to watch, over and over watching Lawrence abuse guys with a 3 man rush that was pathetic.

Also didn't help that we had 2 badly blown coverages to give them Td's, the one by Bethel for the td by Butler, and then the one by Badger that led to a TD run.

Defensively, there were some coverage breakdowns and not finishing plays. However, Veldheer is the main culprit after this game. It's not just bad technique, he looks completely disinterested playing.

Veldheer should be benched and sent off to early retirement. I like him as a person, and he did some good things for us, but it's time to recognize that he's done and he's embarrassing himself and the team at this point.

Shipley and Boehm are both short, stocky centers. Neither one are good at getting to the second level and blocking smaller, quicker players. It's a real problem for run blocking when you have two of those guys. Ideally you only play 1 center at a time. Hah.

I thought Wetzel and Boone did alright, but maybe thats because my attention was on Veldheer the whole time.

Toward the end of the game there was a new LG. Hopefully Boone is not seriously hurt because he's one of our 5 best OL.

Why is our outstanding professional LT stuck playing RT, which he doesn't play, while we also have a backup manning LT?
Seems like there may be a logical solution...... hmmmm...... it's coming to me......

Not factoring current injured players or rookies or Carson/Fitz since they’re most likely gone, only players I would keep on offense next year:

Boehm
JJ(was silent, but I will chalk that to not being 100%)
Jaron Brown(I know some think he’s a “guy”, but dude is a solid WR2, great WR3)

Everybody else......bye.

One of the main d breakdowns was golden biting on the fake handover. Not sure how coach's failed to drum it in his head to not fall for that smh

Running through my head: last year the issue was poor offensive line play and terrible special teams

After an offseason: the same problems

Dawson and Lee are both done. Punt coverage is suspect--someone will break one this year.

Offensive line has regressed.

Actually this loss is squarely on Veldheer!!!

Others on the Oline missed some blocks but #68 was tossed around like a rag doll by an average Dlineman play after player after play after play! He made Demarcus Lawrence look like Lawrence Taylor tonight. A pitiful pitiful uninspired performance by Veldheer whom has quit on his team in training camp & has played like it all season. He needs to be cut tommorrow because this guy doesn't want to play.

Keim hasn't been able to get the oline right for years...that's on him IMO. None of our bust linemen have been good anywhere else which pretty much shows that no one can get anything out of these guys. Just a whole bunch of bad.

Yu. Made an average DE look like a hall of famer tonight.
