Guys I am good with in no particular order.

Kliff Kingsbury
Matt Campbell
Lincoln Riley
Marvin Lewis
Freddie Kitchens
Vic Fangio
Matt LaFluer

I'm not going to include longshots like Shaw or Harbaugh.

I would bring in Kitchens for an interview. He knows the organization and has been crosstrained in the Whisenhunt and Arians systems.

I'm with Harry though, Taylor just sounds so intriguing. He's been around a lot of different systems and has been successful every where he has been. My caveat if I were MB/Keim is that he looks at bringing Bowles or another established defensive mind with him.

Exactly...imagine how BA must be, behind closed doors, to have 2 teams retire him... lol

I'm sure, just like Harbaugh (Jim) and Todd Haley, BA wears out his welcome at some point...for reasons unknown.

I'm of the thinking that Arians was forced out. It's telling that he is talking about jobs he'd be interested in.

Not disagreeing...just saying there must be something about BA that causes teams to move on from him. It's happened more than once.

The Steeler I think it was his closeness with Ben and that his relationship was a detriment to the rest of the team.

It may also be an alcohol thing. Arians isn't really old enough to have all the health issues without alcohol being a major component.

I keep seeing a bunch of retreads suggested for the Cards’ HC position. If I were making the call I’d roll the dice with Zac Taylor. He’s been successful developing Goff. Prior to that he was the only coach who made Tannehill look like an NFL QB. It’s true he’s never been a HC and has limited OC experience. There will be teams trying to sign him as an OC. He’ll surely have better offers at that slot than the Cards could create. If they want him I think a HC offer might secure his services.

I know it’s a big risk. They’d need a top DC like Bowles. They’d also need an experienced Assistant HC who could help with operational structure. At the worst Taylor would be a great mentor for Rosen and answer if he’s the QBOTF. The downside is the Cards’ recovery may be slowed if he’s the wrong guy. However, if I’m right the Cards could win big with a coach who could modernize this offense. Worst case if he fails with Rosen, next year’s QB pool with be outstanding. It’s time for the Cards to show some gumption and make a potential destiny changing move.
Harry, what do you think of peter Carmichael? Looking at his bio I can find nothing wrong with him.

I know he was a plus for Brees, but I’d have someone with a broader history of QB development. He’s been around a long time for not getting a HC spot. He might be fine but I also think he’s benefitted from strong rosters.
