"The National Park Service is proud to manage special
places, such as the National Mall in Washington, DC.
The National Mall has served as the backdrop for many
large special events such as the NFL Kickoff next week.
We welcome everyone to the National Mall for these
events, especially the troops who served our nation in Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as the public, the entertainers, the national television audience, and the NFL who selected the location for these events," said National Park Service Director Fran Mainella.

"The NFL Kickoff is a wonderful opportunity to showcase
public service by volunteers who help to protect our
natural resources," said U.S. Secretary of the Interior
Gale Norton.

Take Pride In America, a national partnership, empowers volunteers from every corner of America to enhance our parks, refuges, recreation areas and cultural and historic sites. This celebration will honor the slashing of the US Forest Service budget, underfunding of the National Park system, and will be a testament to Gerorge W. Bush's attack on the environmental laws.

But hey, we'll find those weapons of mass destruction yet.

And to think I voted for the liar.

Don't forget the fact that he's slashed veteran's benefits and attempted to reduce the salaries of servicemen and -women serving at home and at risk abroad.

But he supports our troops.
