Of watching Emmitt Smith I have seen him play through a broken hand, sprained knees and ankles, bruised ribs, and even a seperated shoulder!

Yet today even after watching the replays I cannot see one single play where Emmitt could have sprained a shoulder. Even the last huge hit by Roy Williams was to his leg area. Yet Emmitt never returned supposedly due to a "sprained shoulder" yet I never once saw a shot of the trainers working on Emmitt on the sideline?

Just seems kind of odd. The guy has shown a warrior all the years Ive watched him and would tough out some bad injuries week in and week out.

I think it was a guys ego getting hurt today more than anything!

On a good note maybe Marcell will get more time now!

I think he should give another interview and tell them about the offensive line he is "running" behind now. What do you think? Did he get Dallas a little up for the game? Another great Graves signing.

Yeah, I'm guessing they fibbed on that one. In the past the guy has played with a separated shoulder, for chrissakes! He came out for a sprained shoulder??

His pride took a hit. He must be cussing the Bidwills for luring him here on false pretenses.

I know Graves didn'tdo very well this off season, but I am not certain that I would blame him for Emmitt. I thought Bidwill really wanted Emmitt, not anyone within the staff.

Bidwill is obsessed with Cowboys...
Amen! Just look at what the new stadium is gonna look like. A great big hole in the middle of the roof. Hard to respect a copy-cat. Especially when it's 30 years late!

Great! Shouldn't he be more obsessed with helping Graves or Mac be successful? We offer guys like Colvin & Holliday more $ $ and they still go somewhere else? This is more than depressing it's getting disturbing... I didn't see the game yesterday but listened on the radio. The "Big Red Line" wasn't sounding too good & as usual we have NO pass rush from the defensive line!! Did anyone see the Browns / Steelers game last night?

1. They pointed to the Cards HUGE o-line that reminded him of the one in Dallas years ago.
2. They enforced the idea that he (and the Cowboys) are the most popular NFL team in Arizona, and that he'd be treated like royalty everywhere he went, and fans at Sun Devil would love him.
3. They told him they would like him in the organzation after 2 years of playing either doing coaching, or spiritual uplifting for the Cards players after degrading losses.
4. Also showed him a picture of the giant hole in the roof of the new stadium that patterns Texas Stadium. Reinforced the idea that he would feel almost at home there in the coming years. :)

None of your point are valid!

#1 doesnt fly Emmitt saw what Shipp did behind this line last year if he didnt think he could at least match it he shouldnt have come. He knew what he had he didnt need the Bidwills to tell him!

#2 You have no clue if he said that to Emmitt. Emmitt probably thought it and much of it is true! The loyalty of some people on this board to him is sickening especially considering where he came from!

#3 Ummm ok!

#1 - Emmitt did talk at lenght (in his interviews) about how great the O-line was and how it reminded him of the Dallas line of the 90's.

You don't think Mac and Bidwill glossed over that point over and over to get him to sign here? C'mon! You know Mac can sell ice to an eskimo!

No I dont! Emmitt is no idiot. He has seen what we have here has played against this team for years. He is football savy and knows whats going on. He didnt need anyone to sell him anything.

What sold him was his promise to be the starter and nothing more.

If he would have been promised the starting position in Tampa instead of having to compete for it he would be playing there right now IMO!

But I will take this time to apologize to Emmitt for thinking he faked it. I wish him well in his recovery!

Yes they are. But please be advised they are delivered with a certain degree of sarcasm. ;)

None-the-less, the Emmitt experience is over. I somewhat feel bad for him. The Cards, I think, made a genuine effort to make something "positive" happen with the signing of Emmitt. I appluad them for that (even though I hated it at the time).

Can we all agree that it's the o-line's fault again this year. My Gosh....
