Coach changed the starting line-up in the middle of the road trip and has stuck with it since, and it's obviously working. Putting Duds on the second unit gives him much more room to operate on the ball and bring life to those slobs. He's more of a small forward anyhow.

Having Price in at two guard is good, he plays defence and is effective without the ball in his hand. A rare quality seen in a point guard :p it also means more playing time to Telfair which is nice.

Putting Markieff in the line-up might not be that good, he has dozed off since a great start, but that might just as well be a rookie/wall thing.

What do you guys think?

I think the Suns do not have enough talent to win and sadly the team knows it. IMO, any lineup changes will only produce temporary effects. The Suns do not have any magical combination that will turn this team around.

It doesnt matter who we put in the lineup...WE ARE AWFUL.... fans should boycott the rest of the games...it is a joke..my favorite part of the season is watching the ticket exchange and to see how prices have hardly dropped for tickets....good luck trying to sell those duds...give me section 115 row 1 for around 30 per and i will make my way down town

This lineup is not working. Neither was the last one. Price is s career third string PG who is our starting SG? I like the kid, but he wouldn't start on most D-League teams. Morris has disappeared completely ever since entering the starting unit matching up against better players. Had he been starting from day one, he would look like another bust at this point.

But there isn't much the Suns can do about it. Unless they can trade for an all-star, which they can't, this is what they have. I'd like to see Childress replace Price in the starting unit. The Suns need to evaluate whether Childress can contribute at all and whether he could have some value in a trade. In order to do that, he needs to play.

I agree with what you say. The disappearance of Morris is the most worrisome. Unless the Suns get a very early pick they might be better off packaging it for young talent. The Suns track record for drafting under Sarver (when they are not selling the picks or unloading them to move a contract) is terrible.

I don't see much blame with Gentry. It is like blaming the cook when all that is in the refrigerator is some butter, pickle juice and rice cakes.

OK, the experiment of moving a rookie into the starting lineup vs. the best basketball players in the world didn't work. I commend Gentry for trying it.

Move Morris back to coming off the bench so he can resume his development within the NBA. I don't think the experiment hurt him at all. The kid seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

How is playing with the scrubs off the bench going to help Morris develop any faster than starting...

By gaining experience and confidence against bench players instead of against NBA starters.

He is actually going to get some of both by finishing games (unless he is in foul trouble).

I think Gentry had the right idea in starting Morris but he cut his minutes back significantly which sent the kid a mixed signal - dumb! As BC noted, when he was coming off the bench he was also closing games much of the time which is the most valuable experience of all, provided the youngster doesn't shrink - which Morris didn't. Each person's psyche is different so you can't just go by some formula, but I'm all for what seemed to bring out the best in him.

Morris seemed to struggle starting, but seems to do well coming off the bench. Its probably just a rookie thing, but if coming off the bench with starters minutes works, I am fine with it.

Morris and Gortat are the only reasons I am paying attention this year. I don't watch games much anymore, I just check the stats on those two.

Watching this team now is like watching the credits at the end of a movie. "Over" is only a technicality.
