The Boston Celtics will try to eliminate the Philadelphia 76ers in their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series on Thursday night for the second time when they play Game 6 on the road at the Xfinity Mobile Arena.

After winning Games 3 and 4 in Philadelphia, Boston was upset at home in Game 5 on Tuesday, as Joel Embiid finished with a game-high 33 points in his second contest since returning from injury.

The Celtics were heavy favorites going into the best-of-seven set and are still in a good spot, up 3-2.

In fact, both Boston's and Philadelphia's history in series leading and trailing 3-1, respectively, point to the Celtics dispatching the Sixers eventually.

"Boston has won all 32 playoff series when they jump out to a 3-1 lead. The Sixers, by contrast, have not come all the way back in a single one of the 18 series when they’ve found themselves in a 3-1 hole," 76ers reporter Derek Bodner of PHLY Sports wrote.

Game 6 is scheduled for an 8 p.m. ET tipoff Thursday.

A potential Game 7 would be on Saturday at TD Garden.
