The Chapel Hill Regional kicks off on Friday as North Carolina will host the likes of East Carolina, Tennessee and VCU.
There will be a decent number of players you should know throughout the weekend. Here are the top non-UNC sluggers in the regional.
Tennessee has long been known for its ability to mash, and Ford is its premier power threat. He is batting .300 with a team-high 70 hits, 50 runs scored, a team-leading 19 home runs and a team-best 56 RBIs. Ford was a first-team All-SEC selection.
Chapman is another dangerous bat for the Volunteers. is another key bat in the middle of the order, hitting .316 with 62 hits, 19 doubles, a triple, 10 home runs and 44 RBIs.
Lee has been one of VCU’s top offensive threats, hitting .342 over 60 games with 225 at-bats. He has scored 64 runs and collected 77 hits, including 14 doubles, one triple and 17 home runs, while driving in 56 runs and posting a .470 on-base percentage. Lee was named the Atlantic 10 Championship Most Outstanding Player in 2026 after he batted 8-for-25 (.320) with a double, two home runs and eight RBIs.
Petite is batting .275 over 60 games with 222 at-bats, 65 runs, 61 hits, 14 doubles, three triples, 14 home runs, a .554 slugging percentage, 43 RBIs, and a team-high 22 stolen bases.
Burress hit .346 with a team-high 80 hits, 11 doubles, four triples, three home runs, and 30 RBIs, earning First Team All-American Conference honors.
Herring was named Second Team All-American Conference after leading the team in batting average (.358), doubles (17), and RBIs (51), while also adding one triple and nine home runs.
