Yeah, all in all a good end to a great season. The plotting in the finale was a bit convenient, but that doesn't surprise me much in a finale.
[Btw: there's not much to spoil in a conventional sense from this episode, but I am about to discuss it, in case anyone doesn't want to know about it.] - use spoiler tags!

We'll see what happens with Nicholas. I wonder if he'll resent showing his weakness to Glenn, or if Glenn will have broken him somehow, and he'll actually change. There's a risk to Glenn saving him, but I like how the show always maintains a tension there. You can't save all the right people and lose the wrong people without fail, so you'll inevitable err one way or the other. Speaking of that: I assumed Morgan was honking the horn to draw zombies when he put Skeet Ulrich's cousin and that other guy in the car, but then he closed all the doors and they both lived. I mean, it's not even like they just jumped him out of nowhere: the first guy pretty much explained that this is what "the Wolves" do, and made some grim allusions.
And now they'll be tracking Morgan again to Alexandria via Aaron's bag. I wonder if Morgan noticed the W's on the zombies when he was saving Aaron and Daryl, and how soon the three of them will share their combined observations to the group...

I'm not sure what we were supposed to be "pissed" about though? Unless they just meant that we have to wait for more? I think we all expected it to be a character death, but Glenn, Darryl/Aaron, and even Gabriel survived. No offense, Reg, but we hardly knew ye.
Reg dying is interesting, though, because we'll see if it permanently hardens Deanna, or if her desire for vengeance in the moment was a temporary crazed grief. I am kind of surprised that Rick shot Pete instantly, though (I hope Abraham at least had time to take a step back, jeez). Maybe he was also worked up because of the zombies. But it sort of seems like if he really wanted to take Pete out, he should have let him be exiled and then followed him somehow. Now they've had a summary execution they can't take back.

Lennie James pretty much explained this in Talking Dead: He honked the horn to see if there were any other walkers that needed killing in the area before he left the two in the car. He wanted to make sure they were safe, even after they tried to kill him.

that seemed to be the complete opposite of what was happening there! I get it in the explanation after, but I was pretty confused in that moment... much like the Redhead's backstory episode which made no sense... until he explained all of it in the Talking Dead after.

Great season. Finale was OK but didn't leave me excited for next season.
The W dudes seem really lame. Not looking forward to that story line.

beyond spending wayyyyyy too much time on the Reverend's story line that no one cares about and was boring anyway, but there was such an awful moment of schmuck bait, that it took me out of everything else that came after it, and this is what I'm talking about...
that moment with Glen when he was trapped by like ten zombies on top of him and the aftermath was infuriating for me. That's what we call in the room: Schmuck bait. And as an act out no less. Which means... they just didn't have enough actual drama in the episode to go out on something so they created the fakest stakes possible to leave you at the commercial. Now, I have no problem putting the characters in serious peril... as long as the show writes itself cleverly out of a corner. But they literally had like ten walkers descend upon an already shot Glen, cut to commercial... and then magically, he just reappeared later. As a writer, that pissed me off.
that's all.

I was hoping Negin was going bash his head open when he was on top of that coward from the compound. Then Camera pulls back to show Negin wiping Glen's blood from his face, fade to black--end of season.

and due to this show,....I love my dvr!!
cant believe these *******s will hype an extended season finale just to add in five minutes of additional content and 25 minutes of commercials. Losers.
It occurs to me that lil miss governor may get drunk on having an iron hand now...up to this point she has ruled due to the tolerance of her people....but now she has a bull dog who will not hesitate....and everyone saw it.
Glenn really needs to take that conniving chicken **** coward and cut him in half with a chainsaw,...top down would be best.
by the way.......she stood there and watched Rick shoot her husband in the face......ya think he is still gonna tap that ass?? or is she gonna be all emo on him about it?

Mixed bag for me. If I had to grade the finale, I'd give it a C-. The stuff that irked me was offset by some great things.

At any rate, loved the finale. One of the best so far IMO. I have had a huge problem with past finales but this one I liked. I agree with the above post that it really left you nothing to get excited about for next season but definitely was an "in the moment" sort of finale.
I really enjoyed this season and the show can't come back soon enough.

They often times try and stuff too much into every episode in terms of what Cheese described I was totally like WTF?
That's crap that you'd see in some kind of Transformer movie or something where it's like they are daring you to say something about the horrid plot lines.
I also agree about the reverend. There is just no way I care, I just don't care, won't ever care, don't see how on earth anything they could ever do with that guy would make me care he's not even someone you love to hate.
About all he's good for is if he show's up on screen you can more or less safely go take a piss.

I agree, we should all be used to this level of work from the creative talent behind this show.
As such, it further cements my opinion that it is the most overrated show on TV today.

My beef with this show is that sometimes walkers are dumb and slow and can be easily avoided. Other times they move fast and even open doors.
The other thing is the rational thinking process sometimes. Glenn not killing that dude is just stupid, he wanted to kill Merryl before but now he is making it a priority not to kill this guy that shot him, that is responsible for some deaths and even save him?

Overrated how? It's not exactly winning any awards and nobody, and I mean NOBODY, touts the writing as anything great.
This comment is strange--I guess if something is exceptionally popular, regardless of the quality of the content itself, it's overrated. It's one thing to not understand why millions of people still watch the show, but it's another to say it's because the show is overrated.

Yep agree. Although many of us probably thought Glenn should have done it, him not pulling the trigger fits Glenn's narrative on the show. He is sort of a moral compass for many in the group.
Yeah...I didn't that statement either. I mean it's the fans that are praising the show and I don't see the show getting showered with a ton of awards or anything.
