The Pelicans are still attempting to find a trade for Jordan Poole ahead of the deadline.

Poole was removed from New Orleans’ rotation two weeks ago as they look to move his $31.8 million salary.

Porzingis hasn't played since January 7th.

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Yeah I think this trade is where the Warriors are hoping they can get to the Playoffs somehow and then have both Horford and Porzingis healthy. Butlers injury killed their chances IMO but I think they're thinking if they can get to the playoffs with both of those 2 healthy maybe they can make it work.

Never been a huge fan of Porzingis but if he can play he can make 3's and block shots. He's more consistent than Post is.

But I think the more likely scenario is one if not both of he and Horford continue to be in and out with injuries

Ok trade deadline today Suns fans. My expectation is they make a minor move to duck under the tax line and create a spot for either Bouyea or Livers.

The Suns remain engaged with multiple teams on a Nick Richards trade.

If Phoenix can trade Richards’ $5 million expiring today for a cheaper salary, they will dip under the tax line.

The Warriors offered four unprotected 1st-round picks in their package for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but the Bucks never showed much interest, per
@WindhorstESPN
.

Golden State tried to renew conversations yesterday before ultimately pivoting to Kristaps Porzingis.

Imagine being prepared to offer a boatload for Giannis to go to just end up trading for Porzingis. Yikes.

Some small deals/updates we are waiting to see today

Zubac trade was described to me as “extremely unlikely,” and it would take a minimum of two unprotected firsts and a young talent.
Suns have been looking to dump either Nick Richards or Nigel Hayes
Nuggets will likely trade Hunter Tyson
Bulls are still eyeing Yves Missi and seeing what’s out there for Anfernee Simons to possibly be re-routed

Here we go. -- Suns trade Nick Richards and Nigel Hayes-Davis for Amir Coffey and Cole Anthony

I imagine Coffey will be waived, but we may hold on to Anthony. I believe doing that might open up the 2 spots needed to convert both Bouyea and Livers. I honestly think we don't need either one of them

Also, I BEAT RONIN!

Cole Anthony is a decent backup PG. Coffey is likely a goner.

I don't mind the deal. Would have preferred a big but Cole is a solid rotation player.

I can see why the Warriors do it but it's a hope and a prayer Porzingis stays healthy for the rest of the season.

Cole Anthony sucks. He is not better than Bouyea

To be fair, you were convinced the Suns would suck this year.

They're much closer than you think.

Statistically they are. I think they're quite different and capable of playing together. Anthony is a better playmaker and shooter while Bouyea is more of a energy guy with a knack for being in the right place at the right time.

Cole Anthony is more of a traditional point guard. In overall context, he doesn't fit much with Collin, healthy Book and Grayson. All of whom will get PG minutes before Cole Anthony.
