I just hope that whatever we're planning to do with this deadline takes into consideration what it will take to hang onto Collin.

we gotta hang onto everybody really - this team needs another 2 years together

we can't blow it up this year no matter what happens in the playoffs - i fully believe we have a lightning in a bottle type situation here - keep the lid on at all costs- ish can afford it

I don't disagree but...If I were a GM of a team that needed a point guard, Collin would likely be my first target and it's my understanding that we currently won't be able to even approach his market value.

Brian Windhorst says Giannis is ready to move and it’s a 3 team race for Giannis:“I’m watching the Miami Heat and Timberwolves. They are out there in the marketplace trying to improve the offer they can make to Milwaukee… Milwaukee has listened, had some back and forth but haven’t indicated they actually will trade him…. The Warriors have put everything they can on the table. I am not aware of the Knicks doing things to improve their offer and they don’t have the offer MIL is going to take. In my view this is a 3 horse race for Giannis. The choice is really down to the Bucks and ownership. I know that Giannis is ready to move”

The Pacers and Bulls have discussed an Ayo Dosunmu-for-Bennedict Mathurin swap, per @JakeLFischer “League sources say that there has been some tangible discussion this week between Chicago and Indiana on a possible Dosunmu-for-Bennedict Mathurin swap. Yet it's unclear what affect the Bulls' Tuesday business might have on those talks.”

The Heat, who league sources indicate are no longer at the forefront of Giannis trade talks before Thursday's deadline, are attempting to trade for Grizzlies' Ja Morant, sources told @ClutchPoints.There is a belief the Heat can pull off a Trae Young-like deal for Morant.

The Pelicans reportedly believe they have a playoff roster and are not interested in trading their core players, per @HPbasketball “Still, sources around the league has said the message they get from the Pelicans is they believe they have a playoff roster they just need the right combination of coaching and development to unlock it.”

Domantas Sabonis trade talks between the Kings and Raptors, which would include RJ Barrett and Ochai Agbaji to Sacramento, have paused. Toronto is concerned about giving up too much first-round draft pick compensation to move Jakob Poeltl to a third team. Reporting on

The Spurs remain active searching for a trade involving Jeremy Sochan.Sochan’s representatives and San Antonio are mutually working to find a new team ahead of the deadline. An upcoming restricted free agent outside the rotation, Sochan does not have a future in San Antonio.

I know Ishbia has been trying to get under the luxury tax but I don't believe we are under threat any longer of the 2nd Apron penalties because we are under the 2nd threshold this year. I wonder if Ishbia is willing to pay Collin as long as we don't go to the 2nd Apron? I have not looked at the numbers but Ishbia has said in the past he is willing to pay SOME luxury tax if it makes the team better.

IMO, if there is anyway to keep him it's a must. IMO, he is the future permanent PG of this team. His development and maturity have been a huge part of this team.

This 3-way trade works per the ESPN trade machine. Knicks might need to throw in a 1st round pick or two to the Bucks, but I think all three teams could live with this.

I do not think the Bucks want to re-tool around Towns, I think they would go for a rebuild instead.

What?

Why the hell would the Wizards want AD?

That makes ZERO sense.

Tell me those aren't the Wizards own 1sts with no protection - if they are the NBA needs to intervene and force a sale or something. The Mavs are raping them if that is true, and it just made the Western conference even more lopsided and tougher.

Agreed, but his contract will be an expiring contract come next season, which the Bucks might be able to offload to help with a rebuild, either during the summer or around this time next year.

The Bucks will demand picks or young talent, cap space is almost worthless in today's NBA - especially in Millwaukee.
