I thought he looked good no matter who it was against, 2 TD drives is 2 TD drives. He made quick decisions with the ball & nice throws. That will be even more impressive against 1st teams, it's obvious he's been coached well & has some talent. I think he was projected to the 1st round until he tore the ligament in his elbow if I'm not mistaken.

he was projected as a top ten pick for the 25 draft... but then the injury... then the hypr dies down...then suddenly a guy is a scrub because the internet caught the next flavor of the week.

Funny thing about the grammar talk, in the video he says he "played well" instead of "played good" in basically every sentence.

That one play action deep ball...if not for a great hustle play by the safety that could have been a TD.. but that safety comes all the way across the field... I think,..."think" thats why Beck tossed it a little inside,...to give the WR room to separate from the corner when he made the catch to get loose for the TD..but the safety nipped that right in the bud.

Yup, I was thinking the same thing. I hear people say "xxxxxx good" all the time. I always notice it and think in my head it's "xxxxxx well"! I never say anything though.

Another one is "Can you send that to Max and I". It should be "Can you send that to Max and me". I never correct anyone one, but that one is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me lol.

I'm less interested in the results against 2nd/3rd stringers.

What I liked was how technically sound he looked. Good feet, pocket management was on point, went through his reads well, looked composed, ball placement was good etc. He recognised what the defenses were doing, identified blitzes, set the lines. All very good at all the little things that separate starters from backups.

Need to see more, but promising start.
