Because he was surrounded with great shooters and a deep warriors team. He didn't do squat when they were all injured, hence mr triple single.

Exactly. So i'm not sure why some people are all giddy about him this season.
nobody is giddy about oso lol you and jc keep trying to throw oso in the trash - acting like he has no value or place in the nba

Like I said elsewhere, we could sign Ben Simmons and have a much better version of Oso. Simmons can run the break on a fast moving team, he is an excellent defender on the front line and is a good defender.

I am not really a fan of Simmons, but if we just expected of him what he actually is, he might be a fit on this team.

you're talking about the walking talking sulking pouting disappearing solidarity destroying mental shorty/basketcase

i don't even know why we're comparing the two - oso is a normal dude - zero issues - probably isn't even on meds - oops my bad no jumpshot lol omg - but guess who has the better shooting percentage?

Are you really going to imply being on meds make someone weak? Just want clarification.

As to the rest, Simmons is a legit defender while Oso is barely a cone. Simmons fell apart in Philadelphia but he didn't destroy the chemistry in Brooklyn or LA. You're creating storylines to strengthen your own narrative.

I don't like Simmons on his previous deal but on a minimum deal? Low risk and high reward. He's an actual playmaker while Oso is a big who plays small with decent court vision.

one guy even wants to start him over dunn

:biglaugh:
Nah. I am just trying to be realistic about Oso. I don't see the point in keeping Oso if you can get a better version cheaper. I just had been thinking for a long time that we need a big, defensive oriented, distributing point guard, and then I notice that Ben Simmons is there. Then I think that we need to find a way to play Book and Green together. He's young, he's talented, he would come cheap, and we don't have to win right now. Plus, we don't need him to be anything more than what we know he already is.

There might be other factors with which I am not familiar, but based on these factors, its an interesting possibility. I would put it this way. Playing with Book and Green might be Simmons best situation for finding success in this league.

if we're looking to build a team first culture completed with accountability we have to keep ben simmons far away from phx - unreliable - un-vibeable - imma have to stick with oso maestro

I like what you're saying but they dated the same chick, and i think book is back with her again.

I loathe this guy,

This is not normal, imo. Imo its part of a certain culture.

But anyway, I loathe Oso.
Geez, "loathe"? Really? Did he kick your dog or something?

I don't think he should be a starter, but I like the things he CAN contribute--he just needs to become more of a scoring threat.

If the suns are my dog, yes.

If it was that easy for him or any player that "needs to be more of something else".

It's obviously not easy but they still like him. Hes also a likable kid so not sure why you hate him so much.

In an ideal world, Oso would develop a more consistent outside shot so he can sub in for his minutes as a stretch 4 / emergency 5 . Supposedly he worked on it a lot in the offseason, but a quick look at his shot chart in all 7 games reveals he's yet to take a single attempt outside the key. His BB IQ gives him a lot of upside, but a consistent jumper would make him a key player off the bench. I guess time will tell.
