Because Atlanta had the expendable tax money laying around. They couldnt have used that money on anything else.

That is awesome. I might have to plan a trip the first time the Cards play there.

Atlanta is a beautiful city ..... and I hate cities in general. So many trees and shade down every street. It is like driving through tunnels of trees overhead. It might not be the same now though, since I was there in late 80s. I found it to be quite a fascinating city.

I think UoP has held up quite well -- you see lots of UoP elements in the Falcons stadium: the open concourses that overlook the field, etc

obvs giant panes of glass dont work well here in the desert

The think looks horrible. I do like the tech side of it with the circular screens, but the outside looks really bad!

Just another multi million dollar stadium funded by taxpayer money so the team can turn around and charge those same taxpayers exorbitant PSL's essentially pricing the actual fan out of the stadium. And people wonder why I've become apathetic toward sports.

I drove past it while I was in Atlanta during Hurricane Matthew. These pictures and renditions do not do it justice. It is incredible to see, one of the coolest stadiums I have ever seen. It is a very cool looking stadium from the outside. I think people in Atlanta are going to love it.

What?!

UoP is still one of the best looking stadiums out there.
Meh.. I've never really liked the 'Big Tin Shed' that much. Too much grey and concrete inside; kinda drab to me inside. But for an enclosed stadium grey is really the only, and common, option, but I would have like to see more red. And maybe some white for accents on the pillars.. Something...

Pretty slick design I like the roof style and parking lot area. When is the stadium suppose to be Completed?

$455m for UoP Stadium, which looks like a freaking bargain - now the MINIMUM price of entry seems to be $1b, with $2b the new "high end" price. I realize it's been 11 years since Jiffy Pop opened, but Jesus, that's insane! And Atlanta's existing stadium has only been around since the early '90s - and it's being replaced already? That's insane, gotta be able to build a place that's useful for more than 25 years!
