Galaxy Quest.

The “Actors getting sucked into a real world disaster like their movies” genre is one of my favorites.

Three Amigos, Galaxy Quest and Tropic Thunder are an incredible trifecta.

Was trying to think of other genre movies like that could exist. The above were basically the Western, Sci Fi and War movies. The other ones that come to mind would probably be really super offensive. Like Actors in a Holocaust movie somehow finding themselves in an actual Holocaust situation doesn’t exactly scream chucklefest. Same with something like Actors in a Boyz In The Hood type movie.

I guess The Cabin In The Woods is the horror version of this. Or Scream 3.
