The Minnesota Vikings have started the search for their new General Manager, and while the team may not be formally releasing the names of the candidates they’re interviewing for the position, that isn’t stopping other sources from reporting them once they get a hold of them. The first such name has emerged on this Wednesday morning, courtesy of Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.
The Vikings have requested an interview with Bills assistant general manager Terrance Gray for their GM job, per source.

According to Pelissero, the Vikings have requested an interview with Buffalo Bills assistant GM Terrance Gray for the GM position in Minnesota.
As you can see from Pelissero’s tweet, Gray spent a long time with the Vikings prior to going to Buffalo, as he worked for the Vikings as a college scout from 2006 to 2016. Prior to that, he spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs in their personnel department from 2003 to 2005.
The Bills originally hired Gray to be their director of college scouting in 2017, and then promoted him to their assistant director of player personnel in 2021. Just a year later, he became the director of player personnel when Joe Schoen moved on to become the GM of the New York Giants, and he got the promotion to the assistant GM position in 2025. He had interviews for the GM position with multiple teams prior to that promotion.
As more names emerge in the Vikings’ search for a new General Manager, we will bring them to you here. But, for now, the search is officially underway.
