He is not wrong. The wife and I just had this discussion. We are getting so annoyed by all these shortened seasons. Then to dog pile on it, we are seeing shorten seasons with these "part 2 breaks" to make it seem like they are longer than they are. It's beyond annoying.
Ugh, I know! High Potential did 7 episodes, did a break, and are only coming back for 4, I think. If you're only running 11 episodes, why the need for a break?

Also, if you're running shorter seasons, why the need for two years between seasons? Double ugh.

I been harping on this for years. a TV season is 20-22 episodes.... with a mid winter break... formally called the fall season and the spring season....but all were season 2..etc
this is why most of my viewing time is spent watching reruns of old shows.
streaming services seem to feel they can maximize their ad revenue by hyping a new series..its the instant gratification thing..but then they withhold the next dose...and then go back to building excitement.

its rare to watch a show these days and not feel cheated when the season is done. especially in those shows where it is so obvious they left so much meat on the bone

I think Cobra Kai found a nice release schedule this final season. 3 drops, 5 episodes a piece, and I believe 4 months apart. Gives people the ability to wait if they want or have that binge weekend as soon as episodes drop. Ive held off on it once I learned it was split into thirds.

It's one thing when the hottest show on TV breaks a little longer towards the end, see Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, etc. But that seemed to cause other shows to follow suit to inflate hype. Fans dealt with those breaks because the shows were red hot when they went away. Keeping them off the air didn't build that anticipation. I think Hollywood has it backwards though and want to believe the wait creates the anticipation and they're in control of it.

No they rebuild the anticipation with social media ads and posts a month before it comes back.
I was a huge GoT fan...they took that two year break...and I was over it..I hate that poo...
Then they followed it up with absolute trash.
But leading up to release date there was posts all over FB and Twitter hyping the season.
I think Hollywood has taken note of the Apple method.
Quality is not as important as marketing.

I see they are bringing in the other Winchester brother...lol...

Jared likely needed some help after that disaster that was his version of Walker Texas Ranger...dear GOD that show sucked canal water
And Castiel!

I stopped watching this show right after I started watching Ted Lasso for the first time. This show was just too mean spirited for me at the time. Not unlike Walking Dead was when they killed off Glenn. May have to revisit the Boys again to see the Supernatural reunion. And I think Jensen is criminally underrated and would make a terrific modern day Batman.

agree. Im a Jensen Ackles fan myself... although I have to admit his other amazon venture was kinda poor...he was just Dean Winchester as a cop...I was disappointed in his effort with that one. But he does solid work as Soldier Boy...
and although I hadnt considered it...he would make a solid Bruce Wayne,...and he does the edgy brooding well enough to pull off Batman too I think.
certainly better than sparkle boy...however, I was pleasantly surprised with his batman movie...
not so much the star...but the writing...the way they incorporated old tech...got a modern world, but Batman is using transmitters with tube tech from the fifties, lol...it was nostalgic towards the old true detective comics and the TV show.

Off topic, but I think you do Robert Pattinson a disservice by calling him "Sparkle Boy". He's actually a fantastic actor and has done a great job distancing himself from Twilight.

I agree. While I couldn't even watch the whole of his Batman (the movie wasn't any good for me or my friend), his performance was brilliant.

Your right. The young man is a fine actor.
Calling him Sparkle Boy stems back to a time I had never heard of him or Twilight...and a niece that convinced me to be "Team Edward"
Then watching him cry in an interview because he don't wanna be an actor...he wants to be a rock star...
He is the Avatar of Millennials.
But he is a fine actor.

Man… the girl who plays Starlight is so young to have had so much plastic surgery. If she’s happy with it, more power to her, but I can’t help but shake my head at a society that puts these ideas into so many women’s heads of having to be perfect and beautiful, afraid of aging, even at such a young age.

Also, the final season is kinda weak so far.

Been thinking the exact same thing.. She's in her mid 20's and looks worse with the surgery IMO.

felt like this season, their budget got chopped by like 80%. The lack of scope and scale for... well... anything, was pretty surprising to me.
