I can’t disagree with this, but Nabers concussion scare the hell out of me for his career moving forward. And I think Marvin’s already had to himself on top of just being mediocre. They just haven’t been as bad as Nabers.

Yes, but Nabers is injured and needed a 2nd surgery so who knows when and how he comes back.
IIRC I wanted to trade back or take Alt and then Nabers.

yeah Wilson looks much quicker and runs much more precise routes.
On that one 10 yard out (15 seconds in) MHJ ends up 4 yards deeper than he should be and the ball is out of reach because of it. Just a poor route that he kind of rounded off at the break. Wilson runs straight down the line on the next throw and it's an easy pass and catch.

I guess. He only played in 19 games and is struggling to come back from his knee injury. He was incandescent in that first season for sure.
That WR draft class hasn’t really realized its immense potential. Yet.

2021 - Prove It
Spending the league most cap space on the RB position for a team projected to be very bad is not really a winning formula in terms of cap allocation and team building.
Falcons divided rush attempts between two players Bijan's rookie year. They won 7 games. The HC got fired. The GM was fired this past offseason. Touches were split 272 to 204. Bijan was 12th in the NFL in touches that year. That seems like a bit of a waste.
Detroit's backfield was an almost 50/50 split in terms of touches. Around 25th in the NFL in touches. They won 12 games. OC ended up getting promoted at the end of the following year. HC and GM are the same. Were they better off getting David Montgomery equal touches to Gibbs? IDK. Gibbs seems like a clearly better player. Definite difference in draft equity using the 12th pick vs the 3rd pick.
Like I said...it's early and still content season, but the idea that you put your #3 drafted overall RB in a three back timeshare seems pretty dumb on the surface. We will see if that is actually what happens with snap % and touches.

What #AZCardinals HC Mike LaFleur said ahead of Wednesday’s practice:
- Health-wise, the team came out really good. Said bumps and bruises weren’t really being complained about.
- James Conner just needs a little more time before he can be in team drills. Has done individual. Says he has earned the right to make that decision.
- on Jeremiyah Love: says he’s learning every play and is tough on himself. Loves having discussions with Love on how he can improve and “he wants to learn.”
- Isn’t concerned about drops. “You dont want to drop any balls, ever” but loves how Marvin Harrison responded after yesterday. Says you tell players to do “the next right thing.” Called him very cerebral.
- “seven on seven is not real football” but said one on ones will happen today in camp practices. Also hates one on ones.
- Jacoby’s leadership has been on point this camp, especially celebrating teammates
- “Tough as nails. Super competitive.” and called Michael Wilson the second-best athlete in his own house (S/O Soph!). Again brought up Puka when talking about Wilson.
- Darius Robinson “he’s stacked some pretty good days. He’s a freaky dude.” Says he doesn’t make a peep and “doesn’t bitch”
- Like Isaiah Adams as a “strong and sturdy dude” at right guard. Says he’s gotten better every single day.

The Cardinals 2026 cap hit for RBs is around $19M which is tops for the NFL.
The Packers and the Rams are the next closest with around $17-18M.
Interesting that Mike's former team and older brothers team have similar numbers at RB. I'm not saying it's the right answer, I just found that interesting that those were the two next closest teams.
As far as the effect that a few million will have on cap allocation? Does it really matter that they spent a few million more at RB when they are sitting on $35M in available cap space this season and $126M next season? I'm more concerned about what the plan is for this available cap space that hasn't been used yet.

Somewhat surprising, but it seems like Andrew Wingard has the edge over Dadrion Taylor-Demerson for the Cardinals second safety spot. No clear leader at CB2 yet between Max Melton and Denzel Burke.

Jacoby Brissett has hit Trey McBride for two catches today that were impressive for both the pass and the catch.
On the first, Brissett was on the move to his left and slung it side-armed to the sideline, where McBride came down with it.
On the second, Brissett pinpointed the throw low and right at the sideline where only a diving McBride could get it.
It sure seems like that connection has picked up where it left off.
