Wtf is Minnesota thinking? I like Naz Reid but $25 million a year is way too much for him. He's a tweener big who doesn't even start and can't next to Gobert. Good sixth man but an overpay. He's the type of guy you love for the MLE but double that will create a problem.

Maybe the Timberwolves plan to trade Gobert. He was included among the trade rumors for Phoenix.

Reid would be about $10 million a season cheaper.

They're going to either trade Randle or let him walk next summer.

IMO, this was pretty obvious when they made the Randle/Kat trade in the first place. The Wolves were not comfortable with Towns contract commitment and moved for Randle who is expiring this summer.

I also think Reid compliments Gobert better than Randle does. Reid is a solid defender, he stretches the court, he is not a ball stopper. I'd rather have Reid over Randle regardless.

Possible they try to convince Randle to decline the player option to re-sign a longer term deal at a lower annual salary.

We're about to give Booker $75M per year. The MLE is $14M now. Contracts are insane.

Hmm, that doesn't bode so well for the rumor of the Suns moving Beal to the Bulls.
How so? Because of Lonzo's salary? I don't know, I also think that the Bulls trading a guard for a SF might open the door for them to get a SG (like Beal).

I can't belive we re-signed Ball last off-season after he missed 2 seasons! I'm so glad he's gone! We paid $90 million for 70 games played!

It was a salary for salary swap, shouldn't impact much on the money front. With the Bulls obout $25 million over the cap, the Suns would have to take Zack Collins ($18m), Pat Williams ($18m) and Kevin Huerter (18m) to make it work. I'm not sure Beal had enough left in the tank to pay $53m. Guess we'll see.

That is actually too much money coming back to the Suns for the deal to work straight up. Would need to replace one of those contracts with Jalen Smith for the trade to be legal, though it's probably pretty likely any Beal trade will have more teams involved as salary ballasts.

I'm likely in the minority, but I'd rather keep Beal to try to rehab his value and instead trade Green.

FWIW, Zach Collins, Patrick Williams, Jalen Smith and Jevon Carter work in a Beal trade. A third team might be involved anyway.

The Suns are keeping Nick Richards. This is a good move IMO, providing insurance at the center position.

Duncan Robinson is declining $20 million early termination option. It sounds a bit risky.

Chris Paul might prefer the Clippers if it is closer to home.

Allen is a virtual free agent in this free agency period. Teams do not even have negotiate. Teams with cap space can pick him up for the value of his contract.
