How the hell did the Celtics get Simons and a couple 2nds for Holiday?

Simons is clearly the much better asset. What are the Blazers doing?

It appears it was all about saving money for the Celtics, but IMO, they come out ahead with a good young player in Simons and two second round picks.

Maybe they are trying to duplicate the Chris Paul effect in Phoenix?

Well they are certainly getting the player in fast decline part of CP3, but I think that is about it.

Weird deal.

Portland is effectively choosing Scoot, freeing up time for him to develop more. That said, I'd expect the draft picks coming to them instead of them sending out considering the salary relief Boston gets.

Boston gets much weaker defensively with Simons, but he fits the 3 pt barrage approach the Celtics have.

The Celtics are punting on 25-26 season. He'll be 37 by 26-27. Smart move by them. I expect they'll trade Porzingis as rumored. He'll be 32 by 26-27 and already an injury risk.

The Celtics trade makes sense. It's the move by the Trail Blazers that's baffling.

Strangely, I've read the Bulls and Celtics might have interest in trading for Beal. Maybe now that the Celtics have Simons, that part of the rumor will float away.

I can't believe the Nuggets would even think about trading Jokic even in their wildest dreams.

I can. That team is going nowhere. I would be highly tempted to offer him to OKC for Chet and 8 or 10 first rounders.

Now watch him be traded to the Lakers for a bag of beans and a 2040 second rounder, followed by the Nuggets astonishingly winning the next draft lottery.

And Adam Silver will be all "Nothing more to see here, folks... move along, move along..."

Here is a big hint in regard to what was said in the other video.

Jokic will be offered an extension, but the owner is not sure if he will sign it.
