This would be a bad time for me to say again you should have kept Melton. I know he wasn't this good then and he's NOT a star but I've always loved the guy and he'd be so good for the Suns now instead of Payne. Right now I wish you had kept him he's killing the Warriors 10 points 3 assists 2 steals and a block in 12 minutes
Yup. I never liked trading him for a lesser version of him.

Has to be a free agent to be in a sign and trade scenario.
Unfortunately most of the incentive for a player to agree to a sign and trade no longer exists though. It used to be the player could get a longer contract and a higher rate by agreeing to a sign and trade but now we're limited to offering no more than what any team can give him (less money, one fewer year).

That’s not what we are talking about. We aren’t talking about luring a player with more money or more years. We are luring them with the chance at a championship. The sign and trade is just to be able to pay them more than we would be able otherwise.

Adams has changed the way they defend the offense. They sag off Draymond since he won’t shoot the rock and its causing non passing lanes on offense.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't pay enough attention to the conversation. There's been a lot of talk lately about trading Ayton, I thought you guys were discussing that possibility rather than pursuing a big name.

Part of me feels like we are in the Giannis back to back run like we were in the Hakeem back to back title era.

That team is just ridiculously tough with easily the best player in the league playing at a legend’s level.

After watching the ending of that Milwaukee-Boston game, I have to say Marcus Smart is Marcus Dumb. I have never seen one NBA guy clown another the way Holiday did to him in the last two minutes of that game.

After what Holiday did to him, it’s quite ironic that HE IS the defensive player of the year.

Can we not discuss Jrue Holiday steals in the final seconds of a pivotal game 5?

I was thrilled to see Bridges do much the same to McCollum to run a dagger through the Pelicans.

The Bucks are very scary though. I think that our roster moves will help against them, we are deeper and bigger than we were last year, but those dudes are clutch, they don't beat themselves.

Smart is a Jekyll and Hyde on offense, he is a bad shooter and not a particularly good passer who kinda sucks balls in big moments.

The Celtics have one of the worst records in the league in close games. Having a defensive specialist as your floor general can be a bit of an issue.

Assist to turnover ratio:

GSW: 1:1
Mem: 4:1

Poole and Draymond combined for 8 points and 9 turnovers.

Per local reporting they checked Poole for a concussion at the half after that sequence where he got beaned with the ball in the head and then Bane shoved him into Clarke. He passed the concussion test but then struggled again when he came in the 2nd half(did make a 3) so they just pulled him for the rest of the game. Supposedly he spent quite a bit of the 2nd half in the lockerroom with what they figure was a migraine. So he at least has some excuse for playing poorly.

Draymond like I said last night he shot his mouth off, Memphis punched him in the mouth and IMO he played poorly and then tried to get kicked out so he didn't have to take the beatdown. Scuffled with Williams twice in the first half and then that play in the 2nd half when he initiated contact with Adams and they called it on Adams, if they had reviewed that play it might have been a flagrant 1 on Draymond. I really think he just didn't want to finish the game so he was trying to get a T or get the coaches to take him out

Yep Adams and Jones have completely flipped the series. I went into this series expecting to lose because Memphis was better in the regular season and the Warriors didn't play that well against Denver. We got the lead so it sort of fooled me into thinking we're the better team. The last 2 games have flipped that, without Morant they've clearly been the better team the last 2 games.

Warriors probably winning by that much on Friday. The Suns wrapping this up a day early would be huge.

I just don't see it I hope we can steal a game and win the series but Memphis has shut the Warriors offense down in essentially 4 of the 5 games. The Warriors stole 2 of them down the stretch but I think Memphis has learned from that

This is such a weird series for me Memphis has several guys I've always been fans of, Melton, Adams, Ziaire Williams if they weren't playing the Warriors I'd be cheering for them.

He's always had such good hands. He couldn't make a jumpshot at UCLA but he's figured that out and been a terrific NBA player.

It’s one of the craziest factors from this season. Remove the inarguably best player of the second best team in the league and they consistently get better. It’s wild.

I don't know what it is now but before the last 2 games they showed their margin of victory goes up by like 8 or 9 points with Morant out.

I'm not saying they should trade him or anything but I don't think it's a fluke. Tyus Jones is an excellent defensive player. With Ja in you can pick on Ja, with Jones in you can't. And with Adams in now the Warriors aren't getting all the offensive rebounds they did in the first 3 games.

They are an elite defensive team. They were actually 20-2 without Morant in the regular season and then lost the last 3 games of the season to Utah, Denver and Boston. If you google it you get all these stories that start with he's their best player no they're not better without him and then list all the stats that say they are. Of course regular season includes non playoff teams.

whoop that trick! Glad the tricks got whooped last night. Was nice to see Green get beat down like that. Klay was the scape goat as they seemed to keep him in the game with the others, i think i read he was a -25 or something. I'm sure they were all in the minus.

First five games of series Draymond 24 points 20 turnovers. He has to score more he made a floater early in the game and then stopped looking at the basket allowing them to just not guard him and led to a bunch of turnovers. I don't want him jacking up 3's but uncontested 4 footers take them
