What a crazy ass game.

Odom, Gasol and Pierce all were invisible, and Sasha looked like a perennial All Star.

I hate to say it, but this game kinda feels like a 'lucky win' for a few reasons. I still think the Celtics are playing a little better, and I hope the Lakers will correct that over the next couple games to get the momentum back.

Sasha was the man tonight, it's nice to see him play so well. I am thrilled about that!

KG is not up to the task... Can't believe how many 15 footers that guy takes for a 7 footer... Get to the basket dude!
Someone said Bob James had said Pierce is the greatest offensive weapon in the history of the Celts!!! What????? Bobby must have had a few scotch's in him when he made such warped statement...
Kobe is simply amazing... Anytime he desires to take over a game, it's done... One of the very best to ever lace 'em up...
Sasha? To me, this tool is just another cry-baby Ginobli... Man I can't believe guys like that don't get their heads beaten in...
The Lakers simply can not match the defense and depth of the Celtics though.... This will come down to Kobe, and Kobe only... As goes Kobe go the Lakers... I can virtually guarantee that as long as Kobe pours in 35 plus, the Lakers will win...

The Lakers haven't put it all together yet, but many of them are playing with confidence. Even Pau and Lamar who were crap all game got some confidence late and were aggressive.

On to game 4...let's get this to 2-2.

Interesting note: Both times that Sasha came into the game, he didn't come out. Late first, played the rest of the half. Same in the second half.

We will be paying this man. Love him!

I love that Phil yelled at him, got on his case and he came out from the TO, did a nice little between the legs move and drained a two. Guy has no short term memory. Plus he plays aggressive, pesky defense and pisses off the opposition. Sick Jumpers of Death rained tonight.

Lakers are just not that good.. Pau is soft.. I dont see how any lakers fan can be confident in anything even after that win.. It took almost every celtic player to have an off nite for the lakers to squeek out a win lol..

What stuck out the most was the post game interviews and how much of a goofball Kobe looks like when he smiles.. No wonder he is always straight faced in his pics.. I couldnt look away it was so strange seeing him smile..

Who: George Lopez, actor/comedian.
Lakers fan since: "Forever."
Celtics hate rating (out of 10): "Eleven. It's off the charts, man."
Why: "I hate the Celtics. I hate green. I hate their shorts. I hate their legs. I hate their mascot. I hate their waving of the towels. I hate Bird's thin porno mustache. I hate Danny Ainge. I saw Ainge in the market, and I hated him in the market. I don't go to that market anymore."
Current Celtic he'd most like to clothesline: "Ray Allen. Anybody with the name of a Realtor has to be on my s--- list."

Who: Earvin "Magic" Johnson, 48, Celtics slayer.
Celtics hate rating (out of 10): "Off the charts. Oh brother, the hate runs deep."
What it feels like to beat the Celtics: "You're in disbelief, like, 'Wow, we did it. We beat the Celtics.' It's such a high, you kind of wish you were still playing. You can't sleep. You can't get rid of the rush. But when you do, you start thinking about where you're going to party, and how you're going to beat them next year."
What it feels like to lose to the Celtics: "You don't leave your house for two weeks. You don't want to see anybody. You don't want to talk to anybody. And it doesn't leave you. For me, it still hurts."
What's ailing the current Lakers: "We've been outphysicaled by them. We're going soft to the basket. They get all of the loose balls, the rebounds, getting to the free-throw line. We've got to be aggressive. We've got to play with a sense of purpose. Boston is playing with that sense. We need that mind-set. I'm mad. I got up at 3:30 this morning. I'm upset.'
Do the current Lakers hate the Celtics enough? "We can only hope. When you're in it, you have to feel it. You have to remember the great history. Both cities can respect each other, but we knew that they have to hate us and we have to hate them if we're going to beat each other."

My man.

CALLER ID: Occasionally, Luke Walton picks up his phone and gets an earful.

“This is Paul Pierce,” the caller says. “You’re a bum, and all your teammates are bums.”

Only it isn’t actually Pierce—or Carlos Boozer or Carmelo Anthony. Instead, it’s just an attempt by Walton’s Hall of Fame father to motivate his son in the NBA finals.

“He wouldn’t even change his voice,” Luke Walton said.

Everyone in the NBA wants to win a title, but Walton has an added motivation: He won’t have to hear from his dad about their disparity in championships any more.

Or not as much, at least.

“It would be a lot easier to have dinner with him,” said the younger Walton, who played at Arizona. “He already talks trash about me not winning an NCAA championship.”

Bill Walton went to UCLA and won two championships, then added to his haul in the NBA when he won three more. He gave the championship rings to his parents, and Luke remembers seeing the baubles when he’d visit his grandparents.

So, if Luke wins one, would he give the ring to his dad?

“I don’t think a Lakers ring is safe in that house,” he said. “It might get mistakenly thrown out.”

Well, congratulations to the Celtics. As much as it sucks to have to say that, they're the better team, and the series is over now.

Probably the most crushing defeat in Laker history, or at least recent history, but the Celtics earned it. They're the better team, and they're going to be NBA Champs.

Time to get ready for football season. I'm still happy about the great season we had, getting this far in our first season with Pau with no Bynum is a great accomplishment, hopefully it comes together better next season.

You knew Boston would make a run, but wow! I didn't think they had the fire power. Luckily this team is young enough to contend for the next 4 or 5 years. All you can do is tip your cap and move on.

Hey, it's hard to be too disappointed. The Lakers weren't supposed to be anywhere near The Finals this season.

Sucks to lose like that, but they had a helluva run this season. They just fell at the last hurdle. No shame in that.

GO LAKERS!!!

Absolutely, hard to be upset after such a great year. Bynum starting to show some flashes, acquiring Gasol, dumping the dead weight known as Kwamie Brown, Kobe getting MVP, there was so much to enjoy this year. If the Cardinals do half as good, it will be a pretty kick ass year!
