BTW: Maybe it's a good thing this thread got moved out of that "other" forum. We've got a better record than that "other" team right now. :D

Oh, wow - you got us.

Los Angeles Lakers: Notable for having (at the end of the 2004–05 season) the highest number of wins (2,621), the highest winning percentage (61.9%), the most number of finals appearances (28 ), and the second most championships (14), behind the Boston Celtics who have 16. They also have the record for most number of consecutive wins in a season (33).

Stop the smack - you're killing us. :D

Whoopee, 2,621 wins....you've been around 20 years longer than the Suns....from the first NBA season....your competition isn't that great.

1968-present...

The Phoenix Suns (1644-1358 ) = .547

The Los Angeles Lakers (1937-1065) = .644

Well if you do that then it includes the Sun's first years (which were probably poor)

How about looking at the Sun's first 20 years and the Lakers first 20 years

(im just curious.. i really dont care)

I saw a video a few years back called "When good pets go bad". It had all kinds of dog bite scenes.

Gruesome.

The Minneapolis Lakers did more than make the playoffs in their early history. They won multiple titles.

FACT: The MLPS Lakers were founded in 1949 and won the BBA Championship.

FACT: In 1950, they won the first NBA title.

FACT: The Suns have 1993 and Charles Barkley memories to help them sleep at night.

The End.

One more. The Lakers have NOT made the playoffs four times (1958, 1975, 1976 and 1994).

The Suns have missed the playoffs 13 times in 20 fewer seasons (14 after this season). ;)

Fact: This is the ARIZONA sports fans message board.

Yes it is.

That was the point of this thread. It wasn't a smack thread to begin with - it was for serious discussion of this year's Lakers.

It was placed in the correct forum...one for discussion of the Suns and anything else to do with the NBA.

It was the insecurities of Suns fans that had the thread move all over the place. Very bush-league.

So getting back to the Lakers, big game tonight against the first-place Clippers. Yeah, reread that last sentence.

Go Lakers!
