With the season over for the Wisconsin Badgers, it’s on to the offseason, and personnel decisions are at the forefront of the itinerary.

In today’s NIL world, a key part of the formula is player retention, with the Badgers hoping to bring back John Blackwell, Nolan Winter, Austin Rapp, and other key returners.

They won’t be bringing back one scholarship player, however, as wing Jack Robison is entering the transfer portal, he announced on Tuesday.

Robison, a native of Lakeville, Minnesota, was a sophomore this year and appeared in 17 games, averaging 1.0 points and 0.5 rebounds per game. He’s seen action in 30 games across two seasons, but has played sparingly, averaging just 1.5 minutes per contest.

Robison was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2024, and was one of three commits for Wisconsin in the cycle, joining four-star Daniel Freitag and Italian center Riccardo Greppi. Robison and Freitag are now both exiting via the portal.

With Robison gone, the Badgers will have one more scholarship spot open this offseason. Currently, they’re set to lose Nick Boyd, Andrew Rohde, and Braeden Carrington, while bringing in 2026 commits LaTrevion Fenderson and Jackson Ball.
