This dude finally got off the schneid and called some aggressive defense in the 4th quarter, rather than the bland, constant, failing "let's just rush four" nonsense we've been getting. Had he done this previously, we might have a much better record and be in the playoff hunt. At least he finally made the proper adjustments.

Yes hard to thank them for doing their job, but to your point, at least they finally didn't let up on either side of the ball. If we still miss the playoffs I'm not sure I'll forgive them for this fatal flaw in year 3...The only path to redemption is to now do something ridiculous and go 8-2 at minimum and keep the gas to the floor the rest of the way, especially in the 4th quarter.

I think it was largely personnel. We had at least until the concussion, our entire defensive backfield intact so he wasn't afraid to blitz. Budda blitzed several times, Garrett Williams at least twice, it was because IMO we finally had all our CB's so we didn't have Rabbit and Thompson playing nickel CB.

Now we have to explain to our blitzers the idea is to get the QB not run into the nearest blocker

That really was the biggest difference between this game and the previous seven games

The offense was still putrid in the fourth quarter, but the defense brought a lot of pressure, made sacks, and most of all actually came up with turnovers.

The Cardinals would be five and three at the worst possibly six and two if he had called the previous seven games like this

the 4 man plus a free'd up budda was nice

the 5 man blitzes were nice too

rallis did stick with a lot of 4 man but got less conservative at the end

I agree, I think the sex in the 4th quarter made all the difference ;)

Collins and Browning are good at getting pressure. That’s useful, but hardly the same as a sack.
