In my opinion Carson Palmer saved us last night when it counted. At least 2 times he ran for first downs to keep drives going. He used his feet to avoid the rush and find open receivers. What he did on his first TD pass was great. Running till he found and open receiver.

Hats off to Carson Palmer.

Agree he did what he had to do. The line didn't help much

The line did pretty good. What didn't was Arians asking our TE's to cover Freeny.

Defense was what kept this team in the game. Palmer stepped up at the right time to seal the deal. IMO, last nights win, albeit extremely ugly, was your quintessential "team victory."

I thought it was a pretty standard Carson Palmer game.

I am not surprised he did what it took to win in the end, he has done in before, many a time.

Standard Carson includes an interception. Carson had an above average game, IMO.

He played well, if he does this all season it will be a very good one! Clutch in the 4th and tough as nails!

He played well late, but when I looked up the passer ratings for the league after one week, he was 11th. Locker, Cassel, Fitzpatrick and even Derek Anderson had higher ratings. Strange, but true.

Just win, baby. I'll take gutsy wins over fancy performances in a loss.

Clutch in the 4th; I'll give him that. Good enough to win; I'll give him that too. I expect him to play much better against NYG. They aren't anywhere near the team the SD is.

Performances like that one are exactly why I started a thread a few months back about extending him. The team needs to have the foresight to extend these guys prior to them having a great season. I think Carson is the most stable QB we have had in years and we can obviously win with him behind center. He makes some boneheaded throws now and then but I think we should have locked him up for another year or two.

Dream I think Palmer will have a better year than last but has be patient with his new weapons until they have the same grasp on offense that he does now, he appears more comfortable without question. This offense has a much higher upside than last seasons IMO with its weapons and speed.

I agree that the upside is much better this year. Maybe it is why I expect much more out of him.
