Because of the relentless rain forecasted for Friday afternoon, Texas softball and Arkansas will push back the start time of Game 2 until 7 p.m. The game had originally been scheduled for 2 p.m.
Game 3 of the SEC series between the No. 7 Longhorns (38-9, 15-7 SEC) and No. 10 Arkansas (40-9, 14-8) is scheduled for Saturday at noon. Arkansas won Game 1 Thursday 2-0 behind pitcher Robyn Herron, who helped hold Texas to four hits. The third shutout of the season for the Longhorns spoiled a strong effort from starting pitcher Teagan Kavan, who gave up three hits and two runs in seven innings.
