Texas softball is finally taking the field of the SEC Tournament in Lexington, Ky.
Factoring in tiebreaker rules after a series loss to Arkansas, the Longhorns secured a fourth seed in the conference tournament that comes with a double bye. Since they missed the first two rounds, the Longhorns had an extra two days rest and will take the field Thursday afternoon against No. 13 Ole Miss.
The Rebels came out on top in a 4-1 win over fifth-seed Tennessee. Texas swept Ole Miss in one of the earlier SEC series of the season and the Longhorns won two games by run rule.
The winner of the series will play the winner of Oklahoma and Georgia.
