Texas A&M softball has held steady in the rankings so far this season and reached the highest peak of its season at No. 3.
The Aggies (34-5, 8-3) previously were No. 4 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll released Monday, but climbed thanks to their series win against Georgia. Texas softball stayed atop the rankings after a sweep of Missouri. ESPN/USA Softball polls also listed the Aggies at No. 3.
Oklahoma stayed steady at No. 2, but new teams appeared in the top-5. Oregon is No. 4 and Tennessee is No. 5.

The Aggies showed resilience against the Bulldogs in their trip to Athens, which was altered due to weather. Saturday's doubleheader opened with the Aggies beating Georgia 8-0 in seven innings.
A&M found themselves in a 4-0 hole in the first inning after a sacrifice single, and two back-to-back home runs. But A&M's offense churned in the top of the third to even it at four. A two-RBI single from graduate student Mac Barbara made it 6-4, but a three-run home run from Allie Enright followed by a home run from KK Dement made it 10-4. A two-run RBI single from Dement secured the Aggies' 12-5 win.
The Aggies continue SEC play at home in College Station this week against No. 6 LSU.
