COLLEGE STATION — Texas A&M baseball's weekend schedule was adjusted following the completion of Thursday's game.

The Aggies (25-4, 5-5 SEC) were scheduled to host Vanderbilt at 2 p.m. Saturday, but due to expected inclement weather, A&M is rescheduling the final two games as a doubleheader.

The second game against the Commodores (19-12, 6-4) will now start at 2 p.m. Friday, according to an A&M release. The series finale will be at 6 p.m. or 45 minutes after Game 2 finishes Friday.

"Due to predicted inclement weather, Texas A&M baseball will finish the series against Vanderbilt with a doubleheader on Friday. The first game will begin at 2 p.m., with gates opening at 12:30 p.m. The second game is scheduled for 6 p.m., or 45 minutes following game one if the contest cannot start at 6 p.m.," the school said in its release.

With rain in the forecast expected to intensify throughout the weekend, the Aggies will try to avoid the bulk of the storm. According to the National Weather Service, Saturday's weather is expected to include showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon, with winds at 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90%.

A&M lost the series opener 14-8, allowing five home runs and 18 hits in the defeat. Now, the Aggies have two chances on Friday to try and win their second SEC series of the season.
