A five-star prospect, Forstall is considered one of the top players in the class, ranking 13th in the nation.

According to 247 Sports' director of scouting, Andrew Ivins, Forstall is a "Hyperactive pass rusher that’s much more speed than he is power at this stage." According to Ivins, Forstall "Owns a unique build as the weight has fluctuated over the years and he’s rather lean in the lower half." and "Explodes out a three-point stance with rare get-off."

Forstall is the 11th addition to the Aggies' 2027 class and now the highest-ranked member of the group. A&M currently has the second-best recruiting class in the nation, according to 247 Sports.
