NEED TO KNOW
- Danielle Collins claimed that Corentin Moutet was "flirting" with her before his match at the 2026 Miami Open
- The American tennis star, who is not playing this season due to injury recovery, also claimed that the French player slid into her DMs
- Moutet, meanwhile, denied all of her claims in a post on X
Drama was served at the 2026 Miami Open.
After American tennis star Danielle Collins called out player Corentin Moutet during an interview with the Tennis Channel at the tournament, alleging that the French ATP star was "flirting" with her before his match, he denied her claims on social media on Sunday, March 22.
The controversy started on Sunday when Tennis Channel broadcasters said to Collins, 32, that the 26-year-old Moutet was "catcalling" her as he warmed up for his match.
"He was shouting at you, he was catcalling you, he was saying, 'Give me a let's go,' " sportscaster Steve Weissman told Collins.

Collins then jumped in with what she said she told Moutet. "I said, ‘If you’re gonna be flirting with me like that, you’re gonna have to get a bigger serve. Some people think it comes down to height, some people think it comes down to personality, but really what it comes down to is big forehands and big serves."
She then went on to claim that Moutet "unfollowed" her after she went viral earlier this year for stating on her dating profile that she "wasn't interested in the short kings."
She explained, "You have to understand, I'm 5'10... it's fair, right? It's just like a preference, nothing against the short kings."
"But he was upset about that, messaged me and then unfollowed me," she alleged of Moutet. "And now he slid back into the DMs last night, asking me if I saw his match and all the big serves he was hitting... he did win."

Despite his victory, the American tennis star said: "I don't think he has a chance yet... he would have to bring a lot to the table. I don't think it's going to happen, but who knows? We'll see."
Moutet then reshared the Tennis Channel's video of the segment on X and publicly denied her claims.

In late 2025, Collins confirmed her break up with her partner Bryan Kipp after about year together. After the split, the tennis star went viral for using the dating app Raya and explicitly stating her romance preferences.
“Currently a professional tennis player, but kind of aspiring to be a trad wife. Straight up,” her profile read. "Already had my boss babe era. Just wanting to raise my chickens, do home projects, make freshly baked sourdough, be a stay-at-home dog mom, and hopefully pop out some babies soon."
"If you’re going to lie about your height just leave me the f--- alone," the profile also read, per a screenshot shared by the New York Post. "This is a no short kings zone."
Collins is currently not playing on the ATP. She is taking time off to recover from a back injury.
In January 2025, the American player made headlines for thanking the booing crowd during the Australian Open for her "big fat paycheck."
