The Tennessee-Auburn men's basketball series will feature a former Vol coaching for the Tigers on Saturday. Steven Pearl is in his first season as Auburn's head coach.
He played for the Vols from 2006-11 under head coach Bruce Pearl.
Tennessee (14-6, 4-3 SEC) will host Auburn (14-7, 5-3 SEC) in an unranked matchup at Food City Center on Saturday (8:30 p.m. EST, ESPN).
Rick Barnes is 7-9 against Auburn as Tennessee's head coach and won the last meeting, 70-65, on March 15, 2025 during the SEC Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ahead of Saturday's contest in SEC regular-season play, Tennessee has a 69.4 percent chance to defeat the Tigers, according to ESPN's Matchup Predictor. Nolan Analytics projects the Vols to defeat Auburn, 76-73.
