No. 5 seed Tennessee (21-10, 11-7 SEC) will open SEC Tournament play Thursday against No. 12 seed Auburn (17-15, 7-11 SEC).
Tipoff between the Vols and Tigers is slated for 3 p.m. EDT at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. SEC will televise the matchup.
Thursday will mark the 130th meeting between the two schools. Tennessee has an 83-46 record in previous games during the all-time series, which dates back to the 1926-27 season. The Vols are 8-6 in games contested at neutral sites. Tennessee has won the last two games against the Tigers and the teams have split the last 10 games.
Tennessee last played Auburn on Jan. 31 with the Vols earning a, 77-69, victory at Food City Center. The two teams first played on Feb. 6, 1927 with Tennessee defeating the Tigers, 24-23.
