Danny White has been busy adding to the Tennessee football future schedules lately. On Friday, it was announced that five future games had been added 2028, 2029, 2030 and 2031 slates.
It was also recently reported that Tennessee would play Central Michigan in 2028.
Today, Tennessee announced 2028 and 2029 dates with Chattanooga. The Mocs and Volunteers last played back in 2024, which was Nico Iamaleava’s first start inside of Neyland Stadium.
The Volunteers also announced a 2029 date in Knoxville against Bowling Green, a 2030 matchup with UT-Martin and a 2031 game against Austin Peay.
This announcement officially sets Tennessee’s non-conference schedule for the next few seasons. Tennessee will host Tennessee State, Georgia Tech and Western Michigan in 2027. West Virginia (Charlotte), Central Michigan and Chattanooga is the 2028 slate, then it’ll be Washington, Chattanooga and Bowling Green in 2029. Tennessee will make the return trip to Washington in 2030.
Tennessee begins the home-and-home series against Georgia Tech during week two this season, set to make a quick trip south to Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta. Furman and Kennesaw State round out this season’s non-conference slate before things really get rolling with Texas on September 26th.
