IE, a trade for cash?

Major League Baseball and the NHL allow cash trades for players, but I'm not sure about the NFL.

We're gonna have more caproom than we know what to do with, maybe we can trade $5 million for someone's first rounder.

The only other option is to give Omohundro a giant raise.

The best way to go about that is to franchise your best player and hope another team signs him and you...umm...well you get 2 first rounders ;)

No, I don't think there are provisions like that in the NFL.

I don't know the exact rules, but when Tampa Bay traded for Gruden, the NFL clamped down on trading draft picks for coaches.

I think the point is moot, tho...the Cards are not cash rich, and no way I see them paying cash and then having to pay a 1st round signing bonus.

Are u desperate or what?

No you can't buy a first round draft pick. The collective bargaining agreement forbids it. Man, you are really desperate for even suggesting it. I still say Vonnie Holliday is a stud and the Cards are front runners in getting his services. Forget Colvin he is waaaay over rated, one dimensional pass rushing L.B. Heck, hes only garnered 21 total sacks in the last two seasons. Move on deals will happen the Cards have cash and frankly, thats the main motivating point for 99% of profootball players. Go Lions.
