Team USA World Baseball Classic roster: MLB stars repping America in 2026

Team USA is taking a squad filled with former MVPs, Rookie of the Year and Cy Young Award winners to the 2026 World Baseball Classic. And now the Americans even have their designated Unc.

A squad of largely twentysomething talents will now include impending Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw, as USA Baseball announced Jan. 15 he was adding his three Cy Young awards to the mix and joining reigning Cy winners Tarik Skubal and Paul Skenes on the Team USA pitching staff.

Kershaw and new Chicago Cubsthird baseman Alex Bregman's commitments brings the roster total to 23 players, including longtime Dodgers batterymate Will Smith. Team USA opens play March 6 in Pool B, with games against Great Britain, Mexico and Italy at Houston's Daikin Park.

Houston and Miami will host quarterfinal round knockout games beginning March 14, with the semifinals and finals scheduled for Miami's loanDepot Park.
